X-Men: Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer confirmed the return of Rogue (Anna Paquin), Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) and Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) to the movie, which is pretty cool because between True Blood and motherhood, you’d expect Paquin to have a lot on her plate, and Kitty Pryde is a key part of the comic-book the movie is based on.
Singer Tweeted, “Very excited to welcome #annapaquin, @ellenpage and @shawnrashmore to #XMen #DaysofFuturePast – thank you@BrettRatner for letting them live!”
We still don’t know how key these roles are going to be, but the fact they’re really piling on the ‘contemporary’ X-Men characters now does lend credibility to a sizeable chunk of the movie.
Pick up X-Men: The Ultimate Collection, containing all five films so far, on Blu-ray for £19.75 and DVD for £15.29 from Amazon.co.uk. X-Men: Days Of Future Past is due in cinemas 18 July 2014.
