Those who were disappointed with Anna Paquin’s blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance in X-Men: Days Of Future Past will be delighted to hear that her deleted scenes will be restored in the extended cut of the film.
According to a report by Variety, around 10 extra minutes of footage will be added to what is being called the ‘Rogue Cut’ of the film, with other characters’ screen time being extended as a consequence.
“It’s a big chunk, a substantial part of the movie” says writer/producer Simon Kinberg in the article. “We want to give [fans] the fullest picture of the film – behind the camera and in front of it.”
Kinberg added, “Every movie has scenes that are cut out, but not every movie has scenes cut out with such a beloved character.”
X-Men: Days Of Future Past will be available to buy on DVD and Blu-ray on 10 November – read our review here. For more on the comics that inspired the film, pick up our 100 All-Time Greatest Comics bookazine now!
