Things have been a little quiet on the X-Men: Apocalypse front lately but that’s all changed.
The Wrap reports that Bryan Singer and Fox have started lining up new stars to take on Jean Grey and Cyclops/Scott Summers, thus far played by Famke Janssen and James Marsden, and a few names on their shortlists have been revealed.
They’re looking at some big names for young Jean Grey, with Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass, Carrie), Elle Fanning (Maleficent, Super 8) and Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit, Ender’s Game) up for the role.
The list of contenders for young Scott Summers is a little less high-profile, with Ben Hardy (EastEnders), Charlie Rowe (Never Let Me Go) and Timothee Chalamet (Interstellar) rumoured to be in contention.
The Wrap notes that this is a preliminary shortlist and that offers have not been made. Apocalypse will also feature a young Storm/Ororo Munroe, so expect casting rumours for that role soon.
