Paramount Pictures, according to Variety, has snapped up Marc Forster, the director of the just released Quantum Of Solace, to helm a big-screen adaptation of Max Brooks’s novel World War Z.
J Michael Straczynski is penning the screenplay with Brad Pitt’s Plan B producing. The novel tells the story of a zombie apocalypse from the point of view of interviews with survivors ten years after the event. “The genre always fascinated me,” Forster has said, “and when they pitched it to me, it reminded me of the paranoid conspiracy films of the Seventies like All The President’s Men.”
