Wolves new poster is a monster and not in a good way

Extremely naff new poster for Jason Momoa werewolf horror Wolves

wolves posterA new poster for David Hayter’s werewolf movie Wolves has arrived and it is certainly a beast.

Collider premiered the new one-sheet for the movie, which has a decent cast, including Jason Momoa, X-Men: First Class‘ Lucas Till and veteran character actor Stephen McHattie (Pontypool) but it’s a pretty dodgy poster. Why show dodgy werewolf Jason Momoa when you could show that your film has Jason Momoa?

Still, Hayter’s track record as a writer is solid, including Watchmen and the first two X-Men movies (we’ll ignore The Scorpion King). Let’s hope that this is better than its poster.

“Popular high school student Cayden Richards wakes from a horrific nightmare, only to realise that he’s living it… He is changing into something vicious, unpredictable and wild.  Forced to hit the road after the brutal murder of his parents, Cayden tries to hunt down the truth of what he is.  In the remote, mountain town of Lupine Ridge, he discovers others like him – Including the beautiful Angelina, a young woman caught between two ancient clans of “wolves”.  And when he finally discovers the shocking truth behind his ancestry, Cayden realises there is only one way to save the woman he loves… A grisly fight to the death, against forces more savage than he could have ever imagined.”

Wolves does not currently have a UK release date. Keep up with the latest horror news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
