A new set of pictures from HBO’s Westworld reboot series has appeared on HBO’s Twitter account, giving us a new look at Ed Harris as the Gunslinger, as well as stars James Marsden, Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Anthony Hopkins and Jeffrey Wright.

There’s also some casting news, as Deadline reports that Miranda Otto has stepped away from the show, and has been replaced by the brilliant Sidse Babbett Knudsen of Borgen and The Duke Of Burgundy, who’ll play “Theresa Cullen, the pivotal operations head of Westworld.”

Meanwhile the roles of two visitors to the park have been cast that sound a lot like the leads in the original movie. Once Upon A Time‘s Eion Bailey is Logan, “a self-indulgent ladies man who is a return visitor to Westworld, the character is well versed in inhaling all the pleasures that it has to offer.” He’s joined by House Of Cards and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia‘s Jimmi Simpson as Logan’s “Westworld-newbie friend William, who comes to see the park in a whole new way over time.”

Finally, excellent character actor veteran Clifton Collins Jr will play “Lawrence, a sly criminal who really knows his way around Westworld.”

Westworld will air on HBO in the US in 2016. No UK air date has been announced. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
