Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton swap bodies in Blumhouse thriller

Kathryn Newton and Vince Vaughn will swap bodies in an upcoming Blumhouse thriller

Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton are set to swap bodies in a currently untitled Blumhouse thriller, according to Deadline. Kind of weird, but we’re into it.

The film will be co-written and directed by Chris Landon, and is hailing from Blumhouse in association with Divide/Conquer, which has produced several other Landon films including Disturbia, the Happy Death Day films and four Paranormal Activity films. Jason Blum and Adam Hendricks are both serving as producers, with Greg Gilreath and Zac Locke acting as executive producers.

The premise for the film reads as follows: “After swapping bodies with a deranged serial killer, a young girl in high school discovers she has less than 24 hours before the change becomes permanent.”

Vaughn is known for his roles comedies like Dodgeball: A True Underdog StoryWedding Crashers and The Break-Up, as well as dramatic roles like 2000’s The Cell and Mel Gibson’s war film Hacksaw Ridge. He most recently appeared in Fighting With My Family and Seberg.

Newton has made a big name for herself over the last few years, appearing in HBO’s Big Little LiesThree Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird, comedy Blockers and Detective Pikachu, and leading the cast in Netflix’s teen sci-fi drama The Society.
