Under The Dome Season 4 cancelled by CBS

The TV series of Stephen King’s slab-sized tome Under The Dome won’t get a fourth season

Under The Dome Season 4
Season 3 of Under The Dome will be its last

We have sad news for fans of Stephen King TV adaptations: it has been announced that CBS’s TV series adaptation of Under The Dome won’t be sticking around for a fourth season.

Although the show has garnered quite the cult following, at the same time the news won’t come as a huge surprise for many. Ever since the action-packed first season, tonally the series has been erratic, to say the least. Considering the size of the book, there are a number of potential directions where the show could have gone in had it continued. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether the Season 3 finale will provide a satisfactory degree of resolution.

Starring the likes of Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), Mike Vogel (Cloverfield), Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight), Colin Ford (Push) and Mackenzie Lintz (The Hunger Games), Under The Dome saw a small-town American settlement become trapped underneath a dome of mysterious origin, upon which anarchy quickly starts to reign.

Under The Dome: Season 3 is currently airing on Channel 5. Download the Stephen King: The Complete Manual digital edition from iTunes now.
