Twin Peaks Season 3 is back on with David Lynch

Get the coffee on, Showtime and David Lynch have resolved their Twin Peaks issues

Twin PeaksAfter the heartbreaking news that David Lynch had stepped away from Twin Peaks Season 3, it looks like everything has actually worked out, and we’ll be getting more episodes than originally thought.

Lynch took to Twitter to announce that Twin Peaks was back on with him involved.

Showtime’s David Nevins said (via Deadline) “This damn fine cup of coffee from Mark (Frost) and David tastes more delicious than ever. Totally worth the extra brewing time and the cup is even bigger than we expected. David will direct the whole thing which will total more than the originally announced nine hours. Preproduction starts now!!”

So, this is obviously a huge relief. Was this all just a negotiation ploy by Lynch, using fan outrage as leverage? Who knows. We’re just thrilled that he’ll be the one taking us back.
