The Twin Peaks cast are in mourning, like us

After this week’s horrible news that David Lynch is pulling out of Showtime’s Twin Peaks revival, the cast has reacted and voiced their opinions. It turns out that they are all just as heartbroken as we are.

Mädchen Amick, who played waitress Shelly Johnson in the original series, posted a video on her Facebook page last night campaigning for Lynch’s return.

The video also features other members of the Twin Peaks cast, including Sheryl Lee (Laura Palmer), Dana Ashbrook (Bobby Briggs), Sherilyn Fenn (Audrey Horne), Peggy Lipton (Norma Jennings), James Marshall (James Hurley), Kimmy Robertson (Lucy Moran), Gary Hershberger (Mike Nelson), Catherine E. Coulson (The Log Lady), Wendy Robie (Nadine Hurley) and Al Strobel (One-Armed Man).

It also features Lynch’s director daughter Jennifer Lynch and written messages from Grace Zabriskie (Sarah Palmer) and Charlotte Stewart (Betty Briggs).

”Twin Peaks without David Lynch is like…??” …we want to hear from you #peaksies#SaveTwinPeaks – brought to you with…

Posted by Mädchen Amick on Tuesday, 7 April 2015

The cast also launched a new Facebook page called the Official Twin Peaks Cast run site, using the hash tag #SaveTwinPeaks to persuade Lynch to rejoin the project.

Obviously, Lynch is a grown man who can do what he likes, but we hope he’s secretly the type of guy who succumbs to peer pressure easily.
