Originally set to air on 26 October 2012 on Fox, the Kiefer Sutherland-fronted Touch Season 2 has been moved to January 2013 in order to give the show an uninterrupted run (ie, no mid-season break) and a bigger promotional push.
The DVD and Blu-ray release of Season 1 has also been pushed back to 21 January 2013.
This isn’t worrying in itself, but considering Touch opened on 12.01 million viewers and then closed on a palpitation-inducing 3.07 million due to a staggered schedule, Fox look to be so concerned about the show’s future that they’re stepping in and trying to reverse the trend, which is far more than Alcatraz Season 2 and Terra Nova Season 2 got – in the eyes of fans they were unceremoniously axed without a chance to prove themselves.
