Torchwood fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the prospect of a fourth season of the Doctor Who spin-off draws closer. This news follows an interview with creator Russell T Davies, where he told TV Guide the following:
“The recession has hit British television, but fingers crossed, it will be a go,” says Davies giving some background. “We expect things to start to move in January. We’ve got great ideas for the show. I think there’s a further lease on life for many years to come, but certainly for a [fourth season].”
The last time we saw Captain Jack Harkness and co in action was miniseries – cum third season – Children Of Earth. Featuring a condensed format, guest star appearances and a (we thought) series-closing finale, this triumphant block of episodes racked up high enough viewing figures to certainly merit a fourth stint on screens.
But do we need a fourth season of Torchwood? Let us know your thoughts on the comments thread below.
