Directed by Gordon Douglas, Them! was released in 1954, and has been causing grammatical headaches for genre magazine sub editors ever since. The film was one of the first, and certainly one of the more high profile nuclear creature stories, popularised later on in the decade to the point where they became shorthand for the genre itself. It starred James Whitmore, Edmund Glenn, Joan Weldon and James Arness, and is generally regarded as one of the very best sci-fi films of the Fifties.
