You have to give credit to the Summit marketing department – they have a good sense of timing. Just when the fan fervor over the theatrical trailer (in essence, a condensed version of the plot) started to die down, they’ve managed to make headlines all over the internet once again by releasing three ‘faction’ posters, featuring the Cullens, the Quileute and the Volturi. Vampires, werewolves, and harder vampires, for the uninitiated. Click below to embiggen in a new tab.
New Moon stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. The film is released into cinemas on 20 November 2009 in the United States, through Summit Entertainment. Based on the bestselling series of novels by Stephenie Meyer, the story follows Bella Swan as she falls in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen, while competition for her affections comes from a Native American werewolf, Jacob Black. New Moon picks up after Twilight, when Edward disappears after Bella is nearly killed, leaving her to deal with the emotional fallout. When he mistakenly hears that she is dead, he travels to an ancient sect of vampires to seek death, and Bella must stop him.
