After all the discussion and positive noises from the relevant parties, a new series of The X-Files has finally been confirmed.
THR reports that the classic show is being brought back at Fox for a 6 episode limited series and that Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny will return to star as Dana Scully and Fox Mulder, and that creator Chris Carter will be at the helm once more.
Production is set to start in the summer, and there’s no word on when it might air.
Carter said ““I think of it as a 13-year commercial break. The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories.”
You can buy The X-Files Complete Series 1-9 on DVD for £44.99 at Amazon.co.uk. Keep up with the latest sci-fi news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
