Speaking exclusively to SciFiNow, actress Rila Fukushima has said she’d like to see Hugh Jackman don the classic yellow costume in a sequel to The Wolverine but remains cagey about future film appearances for her character, Yukio – a skilled assassin with the power to foresee people’s deaths.

A new deleted scene which surfaced last week, included in the Blu-ray and DVD release of the film, shows an alternative ending in which Yukio gives Logan (Jackman) his signature yellow suit. When asked whether he would wear that suit in a future sequel to The Wolverine, Fukushima remained playfully tight-lipped.

“Oh I can’t really say anything about that, but I think that would be so cool. Everyone wants to see Hugh’s face, but it would be really cool for him to wear the mask.”

The Wolverine is Fukushima’s first feature film, and the former model said she had “crossed fingers” about playing Wolverine’s badass bodyguard again in the future. How-ever she could neither confirm nor deny any involvement in the upcoming X-Men film, X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

Yukio was one of our favourite things about The Wolverine, and something tells us we haven’t seen the last of the red-haired assassin.
