Tortorella is an American actor and model, and is known for roles in Scream 4, FOX drama series The Following and TV Land comedy-drama series Younger. In real life, the actor identifies as bisexual and genderfluid, and is an active LGBTQ+ advocate.

The new series will follow the first generation to come of age in the zombie apocalypse set into motion by The Walking Dead. According to the synopsis, “some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever.”

The new series, which was co-created by Scott Gimple and Matt Negrete, is set to premiere on AMC in the spring of 2020. Both Gimple and Negrete will serve as showrunners and Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kong: Skull Island) will direct.
