Fans of The Walking Dead will soon get a look at how the zombie apocalypse is effecting places in the US. The show’s spin-off series, also known as ‘Cobalt‘, is moving from the Deep South to the West Coast and will be set in Los Angeles, California, TVLine reports.
So far, it’s unclear if the series will actually be shot in LA, but it emerged earlier this week that a neighbourhood in the city was being scouted as a filming location for ‘Cobalt‘. Reddit user KiddMicks posted a picture of a flyer that was apparently handed around his neighbourhood. It reads:
We are currently scouting for film locations in your area for the new television series, “Cobalt”. If you are interested in having a television show film at your home, please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss the details.
Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon!
There’s a chance the flyer could be a hoax, but it would be interesting to see how the outbreak has affected Hollywood and how survivors would get by in an area so greatly populated.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC in the US and FOX in the UK in February. You can buy The Walking Dead Season 1-4 on DVD for £39.99 from Amazon.co.uk. Get more undead news with every new issue of SciFiNow.
