CW’s undead drama The Vampire Diaries, currently on its second season on ITV2, has been renewed for a third series. Based on the books by LJ Smith, The Vampire Diaries got a healthy 3.36 million viewers for its season two premier and season three is expected to debut in the US in Autumn.
Fans of blood-sucking love triangles are delighted, if as spoilt for choice as their female protagonists seeing as Season Four of True Blood is also on the way.
