The Tick trailer is finally here, Peter Serafinowicz steps into the suit

Murder is not cool but hugs are in the trailer for Amazon’s The Tick

We’ve been waiting a long time for The Tick to make his big blue return and Amazon has unveiled a trailer ahead of its 25 August release.

It definitely looks like Peter Serafinowicz has nailed that blend of sweet naiveté, puzzling wordplay and commitment to superheroism that makes the character so special. We can’t wait.

“From creator Ben Edlund comes the hero you’ve been waiting for. In a world where heroes and villains have existed for decades, a mild-mannered accountant named Arthur has his life turned upside down when he runs into a mysterious blue superhero, The Tick, who insists that Arthur become the brains to his brawn in a crime-fighting duo. Will Arthur resist the call of Destiny or join the fight?”

The Tick stars Griffin Newman as Arthur Everest, Valorie Curry as Dot Everest, Brendan Hines as Superian, Jackie Earle Hayley as The Terror and Yara Martinez as Ms Lint.

The Tick will be available on Amazon Prime from 25 August. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow
