The end is almost here… yes, the final film in The Strangers horror trilogy will be in cinemas next month and with it – we’re hoping – will be the answer to a whole load of questions! Check out the trailer for The Strangers Chapter 3 here…
In the final film of The Strangers trilogy, Maya (played by Madelaine Petsch) faces the masked killers one last time in a clash of survival and revenge. She’s joined by co-stars Gabriel Basso and Ema Horvath, with the new teaser positioned as a promise that this won’t just be another round of cat-and-mouse, but a confrontation that closes the loop on everything the killers have done to her.
Directed by Renny Harlin (Cliffhanger, Die Hard 2), the film follows the first two chapters and is framed as the endpoint of a single, extended nightmare. The movie is written by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland, based on characters created by Bryan Bertino.

“Chapter 3 is… I mean, first of all, you have to see all these movies to really enjoy them to the fullest,” Harlin told us earlier this year. “But when you see what we have in store, in terms of how Madeleine’s character changes and twists… When you’ve been tortured enough and chased enough and pushed hard enough, when you come to a breaking point, what happens? I actually get chills now when I’m thinking about it and talking about it, because it’s going to be such a surprise for the audience. I promise that it’s something that you could not, in your wildest dreams, expect to happen.”
The Strangers trilogy was filmed all at once back in 2022 in Slovakia. Chapter 1 was released in 2024 and grossed over $35.2million in the US. The second part, released in September 2025, was less successful, pulling in just over $15million domestically, but both films have gained fans through home media formats and streaming since their theatrical release.
The Strangers Chapter 3 will be released in cinemas on 6 February 2026
