The creator of the classic Eighties series V, Kenneth Johnson, has revealed that he is in the process of bringing the show back… as a big-screen feature film. “Since I own the motion picture rights to V,” Johnson has said, “we’re in the process to do a remake of the original mini-series first as a theatrical feature, which I’m so jazzed about because it will give me an opportunity to really realise it and execute it in a way that was impossible to do back then.”
A remake of V has long since been on the cards, and fans of the show will be delighted to hear that what began as a possibility now looks more like a probability. It will be interesting, too, to see how the Nazi themes that underpinned the show’s initial mini-series will be adapted for today’s world. Not to mention the form Johnson’s new look ‘Visitors’ will take.
