The Mummy new featurette teases Russell Crowe’s Jekyll and Hyde

Eddie Hyde shows his face (and his voice) in new BTS looks at The Mummy

As The Mummy inches closer to its release date, we’re seeing a lot of featurettes explaining how the classic Universal monster will fit into the present day. The latest focuses on Russell Crowe’s Dr Henry Jekyll, and we get a little taste of what happens with the doctor’s dark side comes out.

Crowe also posted this clip of him recording some Eddie Hyde ADR on his Instagram….

There’s still no word on whether or not Crowe’s Jekyll and Hyde will get their own film but they do look to be a key part of the monster movie universe that Universal is working towards. We’ll find out just how big a part they have to play in The Mummy when it hits cinemas next month.

There’s also a new featurette about Cruise’s continued commitment to doing his own stunts.

The film also stars Annabelle Wallis, Soufia Boutella, Courtney B Vance and Jake Johnson. You can read the synopsis for The Mummy here:

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.

Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

The Mummy opens in UK Cinemas on Friday 9th June. Visit FindAnyFilm.com to book your tickets now.
