The main trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie has arrived and it’s another piece of “This looks absolutely awesome.” It’s great to get a look at Zach Galifianakis’ Joker and Rosario Dawson’s Barbara Gordon, and to get a bit more of the overall tone, which looks like it should recapture the blend of ultra-silliness, surprising smarts and big damn heart of The LEGO Movie.

The film also stars Will Arnett, who reprises his role as Batman, Michael Cera as Robin, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn and Mariah Carey as Mayor Marion Grange. Chris McKay directs from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith, Chris McKenna and Eric Sommers.

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

“Riiiip!”

The LEGO Batman Movie will be released in cinemas on 10 February 2017. You can downloadThe 25 Greatest DC Comics Ever digital edition from GreatDigitalMags.com now. For all the latest movie news, pick up the new issue of SciFiNow.
