The Leftovers Season 2 will shake things up

Expect some big changes for the cast of The Leftovers Season 2

HBO’s post-rapture (or was it?) series The Leftovers is planning its second season and it looks like the show will shake things up a bit.

Deadline reports that we could see a big change when it comes to the supporting cast as the show will move from its first season setting of Mapleton, New York to an unknown new location.

The site does note that the bulk of the regulars are set to return, so Justin Theroux, Christopher Eccleston, Amy Brenneman, Margaret Qualley and Chris Zylka are a lock. They also claim that Ann Dowd and Liv Tyler are likely to come back for Season Two. The other regulars, played by Emily Meade, Amanda Warren, Michael Gaston, Max & Charlie Carver and Annie Q, are presumably the ones who find their future in flux.

The slow-burning drama, which aired on Sky Atlantic in the UK, seemed to be divisive but we were very impressed by its raw bleakness and superb cast. We’ll be very interested to see where it goes in its second season.
