With the air date for Season 3 of The Flash edging closer, we’re looking forward to seeing exactly what impact Barry’s (Grant Gustin) actions have had on the timeline.
Sure, we know that his parents alive and that Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) is now running around as the Kid Flash, and that Iris (Candice Patton), Joe (Jesse L Martin), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) all have different lives, but that still leaves plenty of room for interpretation.
One of the things left open to said intuition is The Flash’s new costume, which judging by this new poster, seems…. brighter than what we’ve previously seen.
Hunt down the poster for the original series starring John Wesley Shipp, and you will see that it’s not all that different in tone. So will the series be moving even closer to its more classical DC inspirations? Or are the Photoshop gods just having a little bit too much fun with the Scarlet Speedster? Only time will tell.
