Based on Frank Miller’s definitive Batman tale, not only a reference point for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, but also SciFiNow’s best Batman book of all time, The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 is set for release 23 October 2012, with Part 2 due in 2013.

Robocop star Peter Weller is set to voice Batman/Bruce Wayne, while original, and the director is Jay Olivia, a veteran of Warner Bros DC animation who is also working as storyboard artist on Zach Snyder’s Superman reboot Man Of Steel.
