The Dark Crystal TV series reveals voice cast and it’s insane

The Dark Crystal has revealed some new images and a very impressive voice cast

Netflix’s retelling of The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance has wowed this week with a very impressive voice cast list. The series is being led by Taron Egerton (Kingsman) as Rian, Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch) as Brea and Nathalie Emmanuel (Game Of Thrones) as Deet.

The rest of the Gelfling characters are being voiced by Caitriona Balfe, Helena Bonham-Carter, Harris Dickinson, Natalie Dormer, Eddie Izzard, Theo James, Toby Jones, Shazad Latif, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mark Strong and Alicia Vikander.

As if that wasn’t enough to entice anyone, the Skeksis and Mystics voice cast includes Harvey Feirstein, Mark Hamill, Ralph Ineson, Jason Isaacs, Keegan-Michael Key, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Simon Pegg and Andy Samberg.

Additional characters will also be voiced by puppeteers from the production, including Alice Dinnean, Louise Gold, Neil Sterenberg and Victor Yerrid.

Of the voice cast, Netflix’s VP of Original Series Cindy Holland said: “To match the stunning visual world of The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance, we knew we had to entice some incredible voice talent to add dimension to the exquisite artistry of the puppeteers who bring the characters to life. I am proud to say that this may be one of the finest casts assembled from the world’s favourite TV shows and movies, and I am now even more excited for fans to come back to Thra with us, and for new viewers to discover this world for the very first time.”
