The CW’s Batwoman new trailer and poster give a first look

Kate Kane dishes out justice in this new trailer for The CW’s Batwoman

After months of build-up, DC has finally released the trailer for The CW’s upcoming Batwoman TV series, and it looks like it could be pretty damn great. Check it out below:

If that’s not enough for you, here’s a fun new poster:

Here’s The CW’s description of the series: “Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a saviour, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.”

The series stars Ruby Rose as Kate Kane/Batwoman, Meagan Tandy as Sophie Moore, Elizabeth Anweis as Catherine Hamilton-Kane, Dakota Daulby as Cheshire Cat, Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox, Dougray Scott as Colonel Jacob Kane and more.

Caroline Dries is serving as a writer and showrunner. Game Of Thrones helmer David Nutter, who also helmed the pilots for The Flash and Arrow, is on board for Batwoman in similar capacity. Dries and Nutter executive produce alongside Arrowverse mainstay Greg Berlanti and Berlanti Productions’ Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns.

Batwoman will be The CW’s second female-fronted superhero series after Supergirl, and is also notable for being the Arrowverse’s first series led by a gay hero.

Batwoman will premiere on The CW this autumn. Get all the latest superhero news with every issue of SciFiNow.
