The long, long, long-gestating reboot of The Crow has found a villain to join Jack Huston as Eric Draven, and it’s a gender swap.
Deadline reports that the excellent Andrea Riseborough (Birdman, Never Let Me Go, Oblivion) is in negotiations to star in the film as Top Dollar, the villain from the comic who was played by the great Michael Wincott in the original film.
This is a piece of casting news that we can most definitely get behind. Riseborough is a brilliant actor and we’d be very excited to see her chew some scenery.
Corin Hardy is directing from a script by Claire Wilson, and Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey, Victor Frankenstein) has been rumoured to play Shelley Webster.
