Following the news that The Hobbit star Luke Evans had dropped out of The Crow reboot, the hunt has been on for the new Eric Draven. Now, that hunt is over.

Dread Central reports that the comic’s creator James O’Barr has confirmed that Jack Huston has signed on to star in the film that’s been mired in production difficulties. The star of Kill Your Darlings, Boardwalk Empire and the upcoming Ben-Hur remake steps into the role that Evans departed after being attached for some time.

Speaking at the Lexington Comic And Toy Convention, O’Barr said that “Jack Huston has definitely been cast,” and that he is “really happy with that choice.” He also said that the film will begin shooting in “a couple of months.”

The Crow is being directed by Corin Hardy with a script by Cliff Dorfman. Could be the team that finally brings it to the screen? We’ve been at this point before…
