Ana Lily Amirpour’s The Bad Batch has signed a couple of seriously big names.

The Wrap reports that Jim Carrey and Keanu Reeves have signed on to join the previously announced Jason Momoa in the dystopian cannibal movie from the writer-director of the excellent A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night.

Also joining the film are Diego Luna (Elysium, Y Tu Mama Tambien) and Suki Waterhouse (Insurgent), the latter of whom takes the female lead. Luna will play Jimmy, Carrey is The Hermit and Reeves is The Dream.

“A post-apocalyptic tale set in a Texas wasteland where a community of cannibals reside, The Bad Batch is described as a love story about a cannibal known as Miami Man (Momoa) and his food.”

The Bad Batch will be released in 2016. A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night should be released in the UK at some point this year. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
