The Agents Of SHIELD spin-off is alive – and has a name!

It looks like the Agents Of SHIELD spin-off might be happening after all

Agents Of SHIELD spinoff
The Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood-starring Agents Of SHIELD spin-off is reportedly back on.

Remember that mooted Agents Of SHIELD spin-off starring Agents Bobbi ‘Mockingbird’ Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) that was passed on in favour of additional series of Agents Of SHIELD and Agent Carter? Well not only is it apparently back on, but it also has a name: Marvel’s Most Wanted.

According to Variety, ABC is in the process of ordering a pilot for a series that will focus on the two characters. Rather than a straightforward spin-off, however, it has been described as “an entirely new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story.” This indicates that this will be a standalone adventure focusing on their exploits rather than taking them out of Agents Of SHIELD entirely – which is great, considering they have been a big part of the show’s second season improvement. ABC president Paul Lee backs this up, telling Variety, “We absolutely love those characters on ‘SHIELD.”

Agents Of SHIELD co-producers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski have co-created the project for Marvel and ABC, and have written the pilot. In addition to this, they will also act as showrunners and executive producers, with Marvel head of television Jeph Loeb also producing.

Agents Of SHIELD Season 3 will air on 29 September on ABC in the US, with a UK air date to follow. For more about the comics that inspired the series, pick up the 100 All-Time Greatest Comics: Revised Edition bookazine now.
