Amazon has decided to pull the plug on Chris Carter’s latest TV series The After.
Variety reports that the new show from the creator of The X-Files and Millennium has been abandoned. Initially, The After had been given a full series order following its pilot, which had been available on Amazon Prime, but the decision has been made to stop production before any additional episodes were filmed.
Amazon executive Roy Price stated “We have decided to not move forward with The After,” said Price. “We would like to thank Chris Carter, the phenomenal cast, crew and producers for all their efforts.”
The After starred Adrian Pasdar, Sharon Lawrence, Jamie Kennedy, Aldis Hodge, Andrew Howard, Arielle Kebbel, Sam Littlefield, Louise Monot and Jaina Lee Ortiz, and “revolved around eight strangers forced to survive in a violent world that defies explanation.”
