Eureka, or, A Town Called Eureka as it’s known in the United Kingdom, has attracted its fair share of name guest appearances over the years. From Matt ‘Max Headroom’ Frewer, Michael Shanks and Lexa Doig through to Jaime Ray Newman and Frances Fisher, the show lives and breathes on its special actors.
Indeed, Syfy as a whole specialises in its guest star casting, with a number of other high-profile announcements in recent weeks for Warehouse 13 as well.
James Callis
Callis, fresh from the set of Battlestar Galactica, will be taking on a role for Eureka, which will see him signed up for the full fourth season this summer.
Wil Wheaton
Geek supremo and formerly Wesley Crusher of the USS Enterprise, Wheaton has also signed up to play a part in the third episode of the season.
Gina Torres
Firefly’s Torres will take on the part of ‘Kate’, a love interest for Eddie McClintock’s character, in the highly popular Syfy series Warehouse 13 next season.
Jewel Staite
Joining former Firefly alumnus Torres, Staite will also be appearing in Warehouse 13’s second season for one episode.
Sean Maher
Rounding off the former Serenity crew, Maher will be appearing in Warehouse 13, in the same episode as Jewel Staite. Much like his character in Firefly, Maher’s role will be the object of Staite’s unrequited love.
