Jason Clarke, star of Lawless and Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, is in early talks to star as John Connor in Alan Taylor’s upcoming Terminator reboot.
Deadline reports that the Zero Dark Thirty star is in negotiations to take the male lead, with Game Of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke still the favourite to play Sarah Connor, although they haven’t ruled out Brie Larson (Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, 21 Jump Street), who is currently riding a wave of critical acclaim following her performance in Short Term 12.
It’s still assumed that Arnold Schwarzenegger will appear.
The site reports that Taylor and the studio are still aiming for a 1 July 2015 release date.
