Well, here’s something to look forward to. Having spent the last month or so ignoring all the various paparazzi shots of Tyler Hoechlin in character as Superman (we don’t publish those for a reason), we’ve now got a proper look at him in action – and it looks like he’s going to have a fairly interesting role.
Whether he’s helping Kara (Melissa Benoist) along after what has probably been an especially tough battle, entering CatCo in (equally unconvincing) civilian guise, or seemingly squaring up to J’onn Jonzz (David Harewood), you can bet that he’ll be heavily involved. But we’re sure Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) is going to have something to say about it – Luthors and Kents don’t seem to have a great track record together, after all.
And that’s not all. Below, we also have a promo for the year ahead, teasing what to expect from The CW’s new world order. Anyone worried about the special effects needn’t be, as the ones here clearly look fine, despite the slashed budget. Here’s to the year ahead.
Hoechlin and McGrath join existing cast members Melissa Benoist, Chyler Leigh, Mehcad Brooks, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood and Calista Flockhart.
Supergirl: Season 2 will air on The CW in the US from 10 October 2016, and in the UK on Sky1 from 24 October. You can download The 25 Greatest DC Comics Ever digital edition from GreatDigitalMags.com now. For all the latest movie news, pick up the new issue of SciFiNow.
