Supergirl finally has a UK broadcaster and air date

Find out when Supergirl is flying onto UK TV screens

Berlanti fans, good news: Supergirl finally has a UK air date! The show will officially be hitting Sky 1 HD at 8pm on Thursday 29 October. That’s only three days after the US get it.

Director of Sky 1 Adam McDonald said: “I am delighted to announce Supergirl is coming to Sky 1. We’ve already seen in the success of The Flash and Arrow that comic-book characters are a big hit with our customers, and with this fresh, fast-paced new series, we’re giving them another sure-fire superhero smash.”

Supergirl stars Glee‘s Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers (aka Kara Zor-El), a personal assistant at CatCo Worldwide Media with superhuman powers. Joining Benoist are Calista Flockheart (Ally McBeal), Mehcad Brooks (True Blood), David Harewood (Homeland) and Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy).

Supergirl airs on 26 October on CBS in the US and 29 October on Sky 1 in the UK. Get all the latest superhero news with every issue of SciFiNow.
