If you were already excited by the prospect of the new Supergirl TV series, then prepared to be even more so, as a date has finally been set for the premiere.
It has been confirmed that Supergirl, starring Melissa Benoist as Kal-El’s just as superpowered cousin, will start airing on 26 October on CBS in the US, with a UK air date expected to follow shortly after.
Considering the buzz for this, as well as the success of fellow superhero adaptations Arrow and The Flash, we’re sure we won’t have to wait for too long over this side of the Atlantic to see it!
Supergirl is being produced by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Ali Adler, and is starring (amongst others) Melissa Benoist (Whiplash), Mehcad Brooks (True Blood), Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal) and David Harewood (Homeland).
