Stephen King’s Joyland, due June 2013, has already been option for the big screen by The Help director Tate Taylor.
Joyland is a classic murder mystery whodunnit, set in a carnival, and after 2005’s The Colorado Kid (which was the basis for Syfy’s Haven), is King’s second book for the pulp-styled Hard Case Crime imprint.
The official synopsis reads:
Set in a small-town North Carolina amusement park in 1973, Joyland tells the story of the summer in which college student Devin Jones comes to work as a carny and confronts the legacy of a vicious murder, the fate of a dying child, and the ways both will change his life forever.
Joyland will be released 7 June 2013, pre-order it now for £6.39 from Amazon.co.uk
