It’s no surprise given the Marvel Studios method is very much at the heart of Disney’s acquisition of LucasFilm and their decision to roll out a whole new Star Wars trilogy, but speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the new LucasFilm CEO, Katheleen Kennedy, revealed that in the long term they hope to be making “2 or 3 films a year.”

Based on the Marvel method, this perhaps means a serious of standalone adventures for the main cast, all feeding into one big epic team-up that is the new trilogy, or the next trilogy. Exciting stuff!

The complete Star Wars saga (so far!) is available on Blu-ray priced £56.79 from Amazon.co.uk.
