Star Wars comics stay at Dark Horse until 2014

“There’s no plans to change” the Star Wars comic license from Dark Horse to Marvel

Despite expectations that Disney would inevitably take Star Wars comics in-house via Marvel, according to Dark Horse Entertainment editor-in-chief Scott Allie, speaking at Chicago’s C2CE comic con, “There’s no plans to move anything,” said Allie.

“We talk to Lucasfilm all the time about it, and nothing has come down from Disney to make any changes.”

Along with Brian Wood’s critically acclaimed Star Wars series, set between Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope and Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, Dark Horse has a second high profile offering in the works: The Star Wars, which based on George Lucas’ original draft script.

Brian Wood himself commented earlier this year that his own contract will Star Wars comics through to August 2014 at the very least:
