We may be eagerly waiting the cast-iron confirmation of the original trio of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher for JJ Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII, but the production has already taken a step in the right direction.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Peter Mayhew is set to reprise his role as Wookie wingman Chewbacca for the new movie.
Given Mayhew’s health issues and recent knee operation, it’s unlikely that it’s going to be a big role, but it’s certainly great to see him back in action – if only for a glorified cameo, perhaps like the one he had in Revenge Of The Sith.
