Working with various other sources, Digital Bits has confirmed that JJ Abrams’ reboot will appear on both the DVD and Blu-ray formats. As well as the film itself, fans can expect the title to feature an audio commentary with JJ Abrams, Bryan Burk, Alex Kurtzman, Damon Lindelof and Roberto Orci. In addition to this, behind-the-scenes featurettes, deleted scenes and promo spots will be present on both versions of the release, while the Blu-ray will feature a number of exclusive extras.

The German incarnation of Amazon, Amazon.de, has the film scheduled for a 31 December 2009 release date. A spokesperson for Paramount could not confirm this, but hinted that the film wouldn’t be hitting shelves as late as that.
