Spider Man Homecoming trailer(s) come swinging in

Tom Holland thwips and quips in these 2 (yes, 2!) Spider Man Homecoming trailers

They say good things come in pairs – and ‘they’ would appear to be bang on the money in this instance, as we woke up this morning (in the UK, obviously) to be greeted with not one, but TWO trailers for Spider-Man: Homecoming. We feel blessed.

For the most part the trailers have the same material, with a few subtle tweaks (which we won’t spoil for you), but they’re both worth watching. Anyways, first impressions:

12) Tom Holland looks like he’s absolutely nailing it.

2) This is already the funniest Spider-Man movie in existence.

3) Robert Downey Jr will be in it a lot more than we thought.

4) Michael Keaton looks surprisingly terrifying as the Vulture.

In addition, we have first proper looks at Zendaya’s ‘Michelle (still no confirmation as to whether, as rumoured, she’s playing Mary Jane), Herman Schulz, aka the Shocker (played by Bokeem Woodbine), and Jacob Batalon’s Ned Leeds (yep, the same character who goes on to become the Hobgoblin in the comics. Omen much?)/

Anways, you can read the synopsis and watch the official trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming below:

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened. Directed by Jon Watts. Produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal. Screenplay by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley and Jon Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, Based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
