Sony working on Christmas horror with producers of A Quiet Place

Sony is teaming up with A Quiet Place’s Platinum Dunes for a new Christmas horror film

A Quiet Place production company Platinum Dunes is teaming up with Sony to work on a brand new Christmas horror film, according to Deadline.

The film is currently untitled, with its plot being kept secret for now. But it is said to be something similar to the likes of Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, with a seasonal twist.

The pitch came from writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, both of whom worked on Saw IVSaw VSaw VI and Piranha 3DD. They also recently finished work on Rate Your Stay for Lionsgate and The Reckoning for Paramount.

It’s no wonder Sony was keen to team up with Platinum Dunes: A Quiet Place quickly became this year’s horror hit after it managed to gross $331.7 million worldwide on a tiny $17 million budget.

The untitled Platinum Dunes/Sony horror film does not yet have a release date. Get all the latest horror news with every issue of SciFiNow.
