A Quiet Place production company Platinum Dunes is teaming up with Sony to work on a brand new Christmas horror film, according to Deadline.
The film is currently untitled, with its plot being kept secret for now. But it is said to be something similar to the likes of Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, with a seasonal twist.
The pitch came from writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, both of whom worked on Saw IV, Saw V, Saw VI and Piranha 3DD. They also recently finished work on Rate Your Stay for Lionsgate and The Reckoning for Paramount.
It’s no wonder Sony was keen to team up with Platinum Dunes: A Quiet Place quickly became this year’s horror hit after it managed to gross $331.7 million worldwide on a tiny $17 million budget.
