Sony and Marvel unveil handheld comics

News from Gamescom further hints at a digital future for comics.

picture-12Comic book fans around the globe can rejoice as Marvel announces its intent to supply its catalogue digitally.

In news that has come straight from Gamescom, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has unveiled a new reader that enables PSP users to get their hands on all manner of media. This deal with Marvel lets PSP owners (from select countries, mind) log onto PlayStation Store and access a wide range of Marvel titles. Everything from Spider-Man to The Fantastic Four will be at users’ fingertips, and once this service takes off expect many more hits from the publisher’s vault to appear. In need of more information?
