Corben tells Lois of his intent to root out the dark side of the Blur. Not long after this, he gets hit by a truck. Waking up on an operating table in an abandoned apartment, Corben finds his body has been rigged up is to a kryptonite-powered generator. Following a trip to the emergency ward, Corben attacks the hospital staff as they attempt to remove these new mechanics on his body. Meanwhile Lois’s memory loss leads her to Lex manor and to an encounter with Tess. With Clark on his tail, the escaped Corben realises he now has the power to take on the Blur. He meets up with Lois on the hunt for his prey and subsequently kidnaps her. After some investigating Clark realises Corben is on a revenge mission as he blames the Blur for the death of his sister. A standoff ensues and Clark subdues Corben with a pulse grenade. The struggle continues and Corben collapses. Clark is reinstated at the Daily Planet, but at the same time Tess is informed of an ominous arrival.
