Sinister 2 has picked a director, as Citadel writer/director Ciaran Foy has been named by Sinister director Scott Derrickson.
Derrickson tweeted the announcement, while confirming that he and C Robert Cargill will be writing the screenplay, and that he will produce with Jason Blum.
Sinister starred Ethan Hawke as a writer who finds a collection of horrifying home videos at his new home. Citadel, a film about an agoraphobic young single dad who realises that dark forces are at work in a nearby tower block, did a lot with a little and managed to avoid many of the usual hoodie-horror pitfalls, and Foy is a strong choice for the budding Blumhouse franchise.
