A sci-fi thriller, the film will tell the story of a young man, Eddie Spinola, to be played by LaBeouf, who finds himself in possession of a smart pill. The pill, though, while it makes him super-smart, also has some rather unwanted effects on his psyche.

The film will be directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist) and will be produced by Leslie Dixon, who also adapted the screenplay.
